From My Lewisham Home
From My Lewisham Home.
As I stand on my Lewisham balcony
I stare at the sight in front of me,
From right to left as far as I can see
The O2 Arena to theLondoneye.
From my Lewisham home the newly mowed green
The tree with white blossom the most beautiful I have seen,
The caretaker is busy keeping my estate clean
The SNT keeping us safe, you and me.
From my Lewisham home I come and go
From Lewisham I go on the Docklands rail line,
From my home I can get to the city in a very short time
From Lewisham I can get to the O2 too.
From my Lewisham home I can see a bus
That can take me to King’s Cross St. Pancras.,
I can go toCrystalPalacewithout any fuss
Thank you Lewisham for my freedom pass.
I can go to the market and loads of shops
I can go to Blackheath, time never stops,
There is so much to do, so much to see
From Lewisham I can go to the cinema at West India Quay.
I have lived in Lewisham over 25 years
In the same flat this must say a lot
Lewisham is my home where I laid my hat
As I look out my window I can’t add to that.
